Holidays are on the horizon and the Wimberley Players are ringing it in with a Jones Hope Wooten comedy that the whole family can enjoy. “Christmas Belles” tells the tale of a church Christmas program that spirals hilariously out of control in a very Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.
Auditions for “Christmas Belles,” will be held September 3 and September 5, from 6 to 10 p.m., by prearranged appointment. Video auditions will be accepted through midnight on Sept. 5.
Actors are asked to prepare a 1 to 2 minute comedic monologue or tell a personal anecdote of their choosing to entertain the director, Melinda Ellisor.

The auditions will take place at the Wimberley Players theatre, 450 Old Kyle Road, in Wimberley.

Rehearsals are slated to begin September 15, with 12 weekend performances, November 14 through December 7. All actors will be offered a stipend.
