CARTS launches all-in-one APP

CARTS launches all-in-one APP

CARTS has taken a major leap forward in modernizing rural and regional transit with the launch of a new allin- one rider experience powered by the Transit App. For the first time, CARTS passengers across Central Texas can plan their trip, book their ride, and pay their fare in one seamless, easy-to-use platform— while still having the option to call in for personal assistance. The upgrade also makes it simple to share transit access by sending digital passes through the CARTS website, opening new doors for families, employers, and community organizations to help riders get where they need to go.

And here’s a first: CARTS is the first transit agency Transit has ever built a fully integrated web trip planner for, now live on ride-CARTS.com. Riders can plan their journey right from the CARTS website with the same accuracy, real-time data, and ease of use as the Transit App.

Here’s What’s New for Riders: One App to Plan It All — Plan seamless multimodal trips across the region using the Transit App, which includes all CARTS services like Country Bus, CARTS NOW, 990 Metro Connector, and Interurban Coach, plus rideshares, electric bikes, CapMetro routes and other local transit options. You can also access the new web trip planner at ride-CARTS.com, built by Transit specifically for CARTS and its partner services.

Book On-Demand or in Advance – Schedule same-day or future rides on Country Bus and CARTS NOW without leaving the app.

Pay with a Tap – Buy fares securely right inside the Transit App— no extra apps or cash needed.

Gift a Ride – Want to send a pass to a friend, family member, employee, or client? Visit rideCARTS.com/farespasses and click on the Token Transit “Send a Pass” option to instantly deliver a digital ticket.

Accessible for All Abilities – Riders who use mobility devices or require ADA accommodations can plan and book fully accessible trips. The Transit App works with screen readers, offers voice guidance, and connects to services equipped for wheelchairs and other mobility aids. The built-in GO feature provides step-by-step, real-time navigation— helpful for riders who are blind, have low vision, or simply want hands-free guidance throughout their trip.

Nonprofits, social service agencies, and employers interested in joining the CARTS Community Pass Program can reach out to outreach@ridecarts. com to set up a custom account for bulk pass purchasing and distribution.

“Our goal is to make riding CARTS as easy as opening your phone,” said Dave Marsh, CARTS General Manager. “This upgrade brings trip planning, booking, and fare payment together in one place—designed for

all riders, including those with accessibility needs. We’re committed to ensuring nobody is left behind, so for anyone who prefers personal assistance, our call-in option will always be available.”

As a bonus, all riders will receive a free upgrade to Transit Royale, unlocking premium features like real-time vehicle tracking, turnby- turn navigation, and fun customization options.
