Reggae music fest in Blanco

Remo Fest 2025, a Reggae music and Texas grassroots festival wants music fans to feel alright in Blanco, September 20. The event showcases toptier reggae talent from the Lone Star State, legendary artists from Jamaica and rising stars from New Mexico.

Spearheaded by San Antonio’s reggae artist, Sgt. Remo, the festival is a testament to the power of community and a deep passion for music.

“Remo Fest is a labor of love, and it’s made possible by an incredible team of volunteers and supporters,” says Sgt. Remo. “We’re excited to bring together this amazing lineup and celebrate reggae and Soundsystem culture with our community, highlighting the diverse talent that makes our scene so special, from our Texas roots to international influences.”

The 2025 lineup includes the legendary Ranking Joe from Kingston, Jamaica, a pioneering reggae deejay who rose to prominence in the 1970s with his distinctive fastchatting style. He will be joined by a diverse and dynamic lineup of Texas-based favorites, including Sgt. Remo & The Vibratones, Micah Shalom, Stonetribe, Kaya Kotura, J Guam & The San Antones, Roots From The Clay, McPullish, Mr. Blacc Sheep, Soulfiya, Ras IDre, DJ Soul Rebel, and Selecta Will Dub. Dre Z Melodi, hailing from New Mexico, is the special guest for this year’s Remo Fest. Known for his captivating stage presence and charttopping collaborations with Virgin Island artists, Dre Z Melodi is ready to deliver a powerful and authentic reggae experience.

The festival will feature non-stop live music from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m, with gates opening at noon at Hill Country Caribbean Vybez, 137 Peyton Colony, in Blanco. Doors open at noon and close at 11 p.m.

General admission tickets are $20. Children under 12 are free. A Ticket and T-Shirt Combo is $40 which includes one general admission and an official Remo Fest ‘25 T-shirt. Campsite Packages are $50 per site which includes one general admission ticket and one primitive campsite for up to four adults and children. AVIP Meet & Greet Goodie Bag which Includes one general admission ticket , a backstage meet and greet with Ranking Joe, a 12-inch vinyl record , a Remo Fest ‘25 t-shirt and a sticker pack.

Food, beer, wine and free parking is available. No pets allowed except service animals. Attendees are invited to bring their folding chairs and shade structures to enjoy a day of positive vibes and family-friendly fun.

Hill Country Caribbean Vybez is an upcoming cafe grocery store and events center in Blanco, envisioned as a community hub that includes a small music venue and weekend farmers market. Founded by Kemry Paul, a creative home builder and passionate cook from St. Lucia, and Jennifer Nowzaradan, a native Texan artist, HCCV aims to provide convenient, healthy food and daily essentials while supporting and uplifting the local community in a family-friendly environment.
