As a treat for schoolbound kids, the Wimberley Parks and Recreation team hosted a Back to School Bash at Blue hole last Saturday. Families brought picnics, toted swim gear, played field games, listened to music and enjoyed splashing in the cool waters of Cypress Creek to say goodbye to summer 2005 before classes resume this week.
Approximately 2,700 students in the Wimberley Independent school District will begin the 2025-26 school year at Jacob’s Well Elementary, Blue Hole Primary, Danforth Jr. High and Wimberley High School. The first day of instruction begins August 14.
Wimberley High School welcomes Wesley Lambert, new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, and Errin Jennings as Assistant Principal. Students at Jacob’s Well Elementary will meet Meagan Buck in her new role as Assistant Principal.
The Katherine Anne Porter public charter school will welcome nearly 125 students this year. KAPS begin their first day of instruction August 11 at 8 a.m.
