‘The Mother Flip’ on A&E will show off 10 Texas Hill Country homes
A new show on A&E will be showing off 10 flipped Hill Country properties, including homes in San Marcos, Buda and Wimberley. “The Mother Flip,” premiering at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16 will feature best friends and moms Kristy Etheredge and Rebecca Franchione, along with contractor Roy Salinas, who will transform some less desirable homes into big money-makers.
“The Mother Flip is unique in that we took 10 different houses and gave each one their own personality,” Franchione said. “The show features the Hill Country, which I believe is the heartbeat of Texas; [It has] great music, beautiful lakes and rivers, endless food options. There are always hidden gems around the corner, and Kristy and I are always down to find them.”
The pair have made “going to extremes” an essential part of their business strategy.
“From day hikes, biking, knocking on neighbors’ doors, to ‘bumping’ into realtors at baseball games or taking a boat to find hidden gems, we will stop at nothing to lock in listings at a low price,” Etheredge said.
Etheredge and Franchione have been flipping houses in the Hill Country for several years and even spent six months building two houses along the Blanco River from the “ground up.” Each of these real estate experts play their unique part in making these homes come to life.
“I always love to roll the dice with design and Kristy likes to reel me back in with budget talk,” Franchione said. “That is where we shine-we pride ourselves in sourcing the best deals in nontraditional ways. We love to incorporate natural resources to create one of a kind spaces in every house we tackle.”
