Volunteers from Wimberley Rotary Club visited Camp CommUnity, the Summer camp for children enrolled in the Wimberley Independent School District. Rotarians helped students with art projects, read books to campers or assisted with noon meal preparations.
At lunch time, volunteers and students hiked to the Danforth Junior High campus where Rotarians served meals and chatted with students about the projects the organization hosts.
Volunteers received numerous hugs and high-fives from students.
The club also donated $1200 to help with camp expenses.
