Letter to the Editor from Dr. Rob Campbell

Wimberley ISD Community, Thanks to every individual who took the time to cast their vote in WISD’s recent bond election. The passage of all four propositions in the 2025 Bond is a major step forward together, and it’s a commitment to ensuring our students, staff, and community have the kind of schools and facilities that reflect the pride, grit, and promise that’s inside every Texan who walks our halls.

I would like to thank everyone who supported WISD throughout the bond process. Thanks to you, the future of our District has become clearer, signaling a significant move forward. I’m happy to report that we’ve already been able to take action on items that will positively impact our students and staff next school year. Student laptops have been ordered to upgrade our current Chromebook fleet that is used by students at all four campuses.

Additionally, wireless internet access points will soon be upgraded across our buildings, bringing our technology infrastructure up to speed and ensuring students and staff stay connected in a fast-moving digital world. New copy machines have also been ordered for our campuses, addressing a long-standing frustration for our staff. By providing reliable, efficient equipment, we’re giving teachers more time to focus on what matters most - preparing for their students, not troubleshooting outdated machinery.

Early planning meetings are already underway between our architectural, design, and district teams to lay the groundwork for the renovations and additions included in the Bond package. Much of the campus construction is expected to be designed during the upcoming school year, with work anticipated to begin next summer It’s incredibly exciting to see the pieces coming together - from early planning meetings to visible preparations on our campuses. This bond represents more than construction projects; it’s a reflection of our community’s commitment to our students and their future. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank you for your support. Throughout the bond implementation process, we will continue to keep you updated as each phase of the work progresses. Together, we’re building something truly special for all Texans. Dr. Rob Campbell WISD Board President
