“Make Music Day,” 10 a.m. until late evening. Wimberley will join more than 2,000 cities worldwide to celebrate a free, all-day music festival marking the summer solstice.

Ten-plus venues across town will host live performances and “popup” music-making sessions open to both seasoned pros and aspiring beginners. Lone Star Healthy Streams Workshop, 8:30 a.m. to noon, Wimberley Community Center, 14068 RR12.

Free to the public; registration begins at 8 a.m. Eligible for Continuing Education Units.

Topics include rainwater harvesting, conservation strategies for small acreages, feral hogs in Hays County, local water quality, and best management practices for watersheds and grazinglands. Offered by the Blanco-Cypress Watershed Protection Plan in collaboration with Hays County Parks and Natural Resources, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, the workshop is encouraged by the Cities of Wimberley and Woodcreek and Texas Master Naturalists. State of the Water Luncheon, at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 RR 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Hosted by the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by Ozona Bank and the Watershed Association, community members, water leaders and elected officials will speak about groundwater, growth and conservation in the Hill Country.

Panelists will share insights on aquifer health, regional water planning and legislative updates, including the latest developments of SB 1253 and what it means for local water governance. Reserved tickets are $25 for chamber members and lunch will be provided by Hays City Store. A question and answer session and raffle prizes will follow. The Wimberley Roundtable will screen the documentary, “Written on Water,” 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Katherine Anne Porter School, 515 Farm to Market Rd 2325. The documentary is about water scarcity, community and the tough decisions facing aquifer-dependent regions like Wimberley. A community conversation will follow the film.

Wimberley Library’s Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18 and up. Classes are held via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
