Hancock to depart Wimberley Chamber, named CEO of Kyle Chamber

Becca Hancock, Executive Director of the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce, is stepping down to become the next Chief Executive Officer of the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce. She will officially assume her new role on July 28.

Hancock has led the Wimberley Valley Chamber since 2022, where she oversaw a period of growth marked by stronger business partnerships, expanded community outreach, and the launch of new programs. Her departure marks the end of a nearly three-year tenure in Wimberley.

“This decision was not made lightly, given my deep commitment to the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce, its mission, and its incredible membership,” Hancock said. “Over the coming weeks, I’m fully committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless transition. At the same time, I’m honored and excited to begin this new chapter in Kyle.”

She said the opportunity to lead the Kyle Chamber allows her to bring her experience in community development to a rapidly growing and dynamic region.

“While we are deeply saddened by Becca leaving, we could not be more thrilled and prouder of her. This opportunity to advance her career and remain a member of the Wimberley community is tremendous,” said Helena Goodson-Hauk, Chairman, Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce. “She has been a true asset for the Wimberley Valley Chamber over these past three years and will truly be missed!”

A longtime advocate for civic and nonprofit engagement, Hancock served organizations such as the United Way of Hays and Caldwell Counties, the Lions Club of Wimberley, the Mansfield Rotary Club, Arlington YMCA, and the Grand Prairie Rotary Club.

She and her husband, Lance Winter, Vice President of Communications at the Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership, reside in Hays County.
