Knights of Columbus support Emergency Responders

The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 3109 at St. Mary’s Church recently donated funds to four of Wimberley Valley Emergency Responder groups in appreciation of their service.

The money was raised by the 4th Degree Knights, which is the K of C Patriotic Degree, at their Mardi Gras Casino Night.

The fundraiser supported the Knights 4th Annual Emergency Responders Appreciation Lunch. The complimentary luncheon was held in March at the Hays County Precinct 3 Annex.

The Knights, with help from award-win- ning barbecue Chef Rebecca Cable of Jailhouse Cooks and her husband, Judge Andy Cable, fed over 115 local emergency responders. The luncheon was designed to honor those who serve our community.

As an additional thank you, the 4th Degree Knights were able to donate checks of equal amounts to Wimberley EMS, Wimberley Fire & Rescue, Precinct 3 Constables Office and the Sheriff’s Department , as well as a special gift to the local Department of Public Safety.
