The Hill Country Community Band presents “Barbers, Belters & Boogie,” May 31, at the Wimberley Valley Winery, 2825 Lone Man Mountain Rd., 7p.m. and Sunday, June 1, at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 RR12, 4 p.m. Hear “The Barber of Seville Overture,” a medley from “A Chorus Line,” and favorites from “Abba Gold,” with “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia,” along with other selections.

Manuel Arambula, the family-friendly concerts are free to attend.

“Trash Dance,” a multipleaward- winning documentary about two dozen Austin sanitation workers – and their trucks — who deliver a stunningly beautiful and moving performance on an abandoned runway in Austin.
Choreographed by Allison Orr and captured on film by Andrew Garrison, the film will alter your notions about what constitutes art. From the First Tuesday SMTX film series, the film will screen at 7 p.m. at The Price Center, located at 222 W. San Antonio St. in San Marcos.
Tickets are $9 in advance at https://firsttuesdaysmtx.com/or at the door. Doors open at 6:15 p.m, complementary pizza and drinks served from 6:30 p.m.

Summer Reading Kickoff, Wimberley Village Library, 400 FM2325, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To celebrate the start of the Summer Reading Program the event includes a petting zoo with baby kangaroos and wallabies, an animal show with exotic animals, snow cones, cookies, lemonade, hot dogs, ice cream, Fit for Mom crafts, a Master Gardner’s booth, face painting, the Wimberley Rangers, an Ally Medical CPR demo, a tattoo station, and Master Naturalists. No charge to attend.

Wimberley Library’s Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18 and up. Classes are held via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
Farmers and Artisan market meets Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cowboy Church, 120 Green Acres Drive. Fresh foods from growers, arts, crafts and other vendors.
