Wimberley Strong Memorial Concert featuring Gary P. Nunn and the Jesse Stratton Band, on the swim lawn of Blue Hole Regional Park in Wimberley, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This event, which marks the 10th anniversary of the 2015 Memorial Day Flood honors the memories of those lost and celebrates our community’s resilience and recovery. Proceeds benefit local first responders and acknowledge their heroic efforts during the flood and support ongoing disaster response initiatives across Texas. Memorial Day Rodeo, VFW arena, 401 Jacob’s Well Rd, 8 p.m. both nights. Lester Meier Open Pro Rodeo includes bulls, broncs, team roping, barrels, tie down roping, breakaway roping, calf scramble and mutton busting.
Proceeds benefit the Wimberley 4-H Buyer’s Pool that supports the local Wimberley 4-H club in their livestock show projects and scholarships. Tickets available at the gates.
$15 adults, $5 kids. Ages 5 and under free.

Rehearsals for the Wimberley Community Chorus begin, Chapel in the Hills, Avey Hall, 14601 RR 12, 6:30 p.m. and continue Monday evenings in June from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Rehearsals are in preparation of the annual 4th of July concert with Hill Country Community Band.
