Civic Club’s Tablescapes brings out creative, clever designers

In a unique display of creativity, ingenuity and style, the Wimberley Community Civic Club’s Tablescape competition brought together area designers last week at Vintage Oaks Farm in Driftwood. As attendees sipped and sampled wine, hors d’oeuvres and sweets, they voted for the top three dressed tables. Receiving the most votes were “Spring Fling” by Jill Ainsworth and Amber Wood of Love Your Space Place and Kingdom Floral Design, respectively; “I Don’t Have a Clue” by Linda Seaberg; and “When Life Gives You Lemons, Have a Party!” by Leigh Peterson, Bethany Hannah and Aurora LeBrun of the Village Store.

Other notable entries included “A Unique Hill Country Christmas” by Evie LaFleur and Kimberly Metcalf; “Birds of a Feather” by Carolyn Bondy and Carolyn Jackson of Victorious You; “High Tea at the Empress” by Nancy Robertson, Becky Selman and Susan Wilkinson; “Pretty in Pink: An Easter Affair” by Angie Touchstone and Gail Owen; Blended Memories by Julia Vidock; and “Shakespeare in the Park” by Roxanne Strobel and Reji Smith of the Wimberley Players.

The winner of the raffle was Sissi Baskin, co-owner of Vintage Oaks Farm, with husband Bill.
