Tahuahua throws hat in the ring for Hays County Judge

Geoffrey Tahuahua, current Dripping Springs City Council member, announced his candidacy this week for Hays County Judge.

“As county judge, I will restore trust in county government by leading with integrity and accountability,” Tahuahua said in a press release.

“My upbringing, life experiences and years of public service have prepared me for this job. I will tackle the challenges we face as one of the fastest-growing counties in the state and country — challenges like growth, public safety, and infrastructure.”

Since his election to Dripping Springs City Council in 2021, Tahuahua’s leadership has delivered road expansions, wastewater improvements, and reduced barriers for small businesses. In his prior service as president of North Hays Emergency Medicals Services, he guided the agency through major financial challenges. Today, North Hays EMS operates independently, offering greater longterm stability and improved service.

“We need proven, steady leadership to meet the challenges facing our growing communities,” Tahuahua continued. “With a clear vision and a focus on long-term solutions, our best days are ahead of us — and we can build a stronger, safer future for every resident. I’m ready to get to work — and I invite the voters of Hays County to join me.”

Tahuahua and his wife live in Dripping Springs with their three sons. To learn more, visit GeoffreyForHays. com.
