What do Mothers want on Mother’s Day?

May 12 marks Mother’s Day in the U.S., a day when mothers become the focus of children and partners who want to show their love and appreciation for their hard work and devotion. Traditional gifts include cards, flowers, chocolates and special meals which may include breakfast in bed.

According to many moms, the gift they want to receive is recognition and appreciation, a day off or time alone, a spa day or massage, a vacation, a night or weekend alone in a hotel, a heartfelt note or letter, a period of peace and serenity, or to be pampered.
